Cone Penetrometer Mast Extension

CP&A provided calculations for a cone penetrometer mast extension. A cone penetrometer is a tool used in geotechnical engineering to assess the strength and properties of soil. It involves pushing a cone-shaped tip into the ground at a constant rate and measuring the resistance. This data helps determine soil stratigraphy, compaction, and bearing capacity for foundation design. 

The mast extension allows the cone penetrometer to travel to deeper below the soil surface. The original working range was 9m, after the mast extension the working depth was increased to 15m.
