Custom Stacker Cranes

CP&A designed a replacement trolley, mast, platform for an aerospace manufacturer. The bridges were refurbished which included new mechanical drive systems. There are 4 axis of motion, bridge, trolley, hoist and rotate. Platform operates in a class 1 div 1 hazardous zone. The platform is rated for personnel hoisting and supplies breathable air to the workers on the platform. Workers are supported by fall protection systems. Project was performed on under a design-bid-build contract.

CP&A provided complete mechanical and structural design services including; 3-D solid models of the stacker cranes, structural analysis, mechanical component selection, design level drawings, engineering support and services related to fabrication, assembly, commissioning, and installation. CP&A provided the O&M manual and trained the maintenance staff.
