Entry Level Civil/Structural Engineer

About the Role

Full time entry level civil/structural EIT. Responsibilities include assisting lead engineers with the design and review of structures from concept through construction. Developing loads, sizing of structural members, designing connections, finite element analysis, and creating drawings. This position will receive training and mentorship from experienced and licensed professional engineers. The training and mentorship will provide the required experience to become a licensed professional engineer and licensed structural engineer.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master of Science or Master of Engineering in Civil/Structural Engineering

  • 3.2 Cumulative GPA or better

  • E.I.T. Certification

  • Exposure to Finite Element Analysis

  • Drafting Skills

  • Knowledge of AISC Steel Construction Manual.

  • Must be able to work in the United States. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship


Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous Work Experience

  • Exposure to SAP2000 AutoCAD/Inventor/Solidworks

  • Knowledge of ASCE 7 or ASCE 61

  • Knowledge of AISC-360

  • Exposure to Crane Design Codes (CMAA, FEM, NAVFAC P-307, etc.)

  • Programming skills (C#, VBA, etc.)

  • Experience analyzing bolted and welded connections.
